What is an AMF Panel?
Automatic Mains Failure Panel for Reliable Power Changeover
An AMF Panel (Automatic Mains Failure Panel) is an electrical control panel used to automatically start a generator and transfer load when the main power supply fails. When the mains power is restored, the AMF panel switches the load back to the utility supply and safely shuts down the generator after a cooling period.
AAVAD Instrument Pvt. Ltd. manufactures high-quality AMF Panels and ATS Panels known for robust construction, reliable performance, and long service life in industrial and commercial power systems.
AMF Panel – Overview & Working Principle
AMF Panels continuously monitor the incoming AC mains supply. In case of mains failure or voltage fluctuation:
-
The panel detects the failure
-
Automatically starts the standby generator
-
Transfers the electrical load from mains to generator
-
Monitors generator parameters during operation
Once the mains supply returns:
-
The load is transferred back to mains
-
The generator runs for a cooling period
-
The generator shuts down automatically
This ensures uninterrupted power supply without manual intervention.
